Job Description
Mimosa Mining Company is seeking an accomplished and strategic Director of Investor Relations to join our executive team in Zvishavane, Midlands Province. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive investor relations strategy that effectively communicates Mimosa’s strategic vision, financial performance, and growth prospects to the global investment community. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for institutional investors, analysts, and shareholders, working closely with senior leadership, finance, and legal teams. You will articulate our value proposition, operational achievements, and long-term objectives with clarity and conviction, ensuring transparency and building enduring trust. This role demands a professional with exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of capital markets, financial analysis, and a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships. You will lead the preparation of investor presentations, financial disclosures, earnings call scripts, and other communication materials, ensuring consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust investor relations strategy aligned with Mimosa's corporate objectives and financial goals.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Mimosa Mining Company and the investment community, including institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and individual shareholders.
- Prepare and deliver compelling investor presentations, annual reports, earnings call scripts, press releases, and other investor communications.
- Conduct proactive outreach to potential investors and maintain relationships with existing shareholders.
- Monitor and analyze stock performance, shareholder base, and competitor activities to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage the quarterly earnings process, including coordinating with internal departments for data collection, drafting materials, and preparing Q&A.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory disclosure requirements and corporate governance best practices.
- Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on investor perception, market trends, and financial messaging.
- Organize investor conferences, roadshows, and one-on-one meetings to enhance Mimosa's visibility and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and Communications teams to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, or a related field, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful investor relations strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial and operational information clearly and concisely.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, financial modeling, valuation techniques, and regulatory environments (e.g., ZSE, JSE, LSE, NYSE/NASDAQ).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with institutional investors and analysts.
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel).
- High degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA) or CFA designation.
- Experience working for a publicly traded company, particularly one with international listings.
- Familiarity with the Platinum Group Metals (PGM) market and global commodity trends.
- Experience with crisis communication and reputation management in an investor relations context.
- Ability to speak multiple languages, particularly relevant for international investor engagement.
