Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement strategies from our Epworth office. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, developing, and executing comprehensive learning and development programs that align with our strategic objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. This role demands a blend of strategic foresight, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles and modern pedagogical approaches.

As the Director of Learning & Development, you will be responsible for identifying critical skill gaps, designing innovative training solutions, and implementing initiatives that drive employee engagement, productivity, and retention across all levels of the organization. You will leverage data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of L&D programs, ensuring a measurable return on investment. Collaboration with senior leadership, department heads, and human resources will be key to understanding organizational needs and crafting tailored learning pathways that support career progression and leadership development. Your expertise will not only enhance individual capabilities but also strengthen our overall organizational capacity to adapt and thrive in a dynamic market. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy that supports Career.zycto’s business goals and talent development objectives.
  • Design, develop, and deliver innovative learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, and soft skills enhancement.
  • Conduct regular training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and areas for professional growth across all departments.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and demonstrating ROI for all initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all learning programs using relevant metrics and feedback mechanisms, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Select and manage relationships with third-party training providers and vendors.
  • Implement and oversee learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
  • Mentor and develop a small team of L&D professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the department.
  • Collaborate with HR and senior leadership to integrate L&D initiatives with broader talent management and organizational development strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in learning and development.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in a senior Learning & Development role, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate effective L&D programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and various learning methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and resources efficiently.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and measure impact.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Certifications in instructional design, coaching, or specific leadership development methodologies (e.g., ATD, CIPD).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or growth-oriented organization.
  • Familiarity with talent management software and HR analytics tools.
  • Experience with global or multi-cultural L&D initiatives.
