In this strategic leadership position, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing a comprehensive learning and development framework that aligns with Career.zycto’s strategic objectives and values. This involves conducting thorough needs assessments, identifying critical skill gaps, and designing innovative programs that leverage a blend of traditional, digital, and experiential learning methodologies. You will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, where employees are empowered to take ownership of their professional growth and are provided with the resources to do so. This includes developing leadership pipelines, succession planning initiatives, and robust onboarding programs that set our new hires up for success from day one.

Beyond program design, the Director of Learning & Development will be a key strategic partner to our executive leadership team and various department heads. You will advise on best practices in talent development, introduce cutting-edge learning technologies, and ensure our L&D efforts translate into measurable business impact. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals and talent needs.
  • Conduct thorough training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across all levels.
  • Design, develop, and implement innovative learning programs, workshops, and e-learning modules covering leadership development, technical skills, and professional competencies.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the L&D team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all L&D initiatives using appropriate metrics and feedback mechanisms, reporting on ROI and impact.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effective delivery of programs.
  • Partner with HR and senior leadership to integrate L&D with talent management, performance management, and succession planning processes.
  • Research and recommend modern learning technologies and methodologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual reality, and gamification.
  • Cultivate a strong learning culture within the organization, promoting self-directed learning and continuous professional growth.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with external training providers and consultants.
  • Ensure all L&D activities comply with relevant industry standards and internal policies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial role.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive L&D strategies and programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and modern learning technologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in measuring L&D effectiveness and ROI.
  • Proficiency in project management and budget administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPD, ATD, CPTM).
  • Experience with various Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Exposure to L&D within a professional services or consultancy environment.
  • Experience working in a multinational or diverse cultural environment.
