Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent growth initiatives in Masvingo, Masvingo Province. This pivotal role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning strategies that align with our organizational goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for identifying critical skill gaps, developing innovative training programs, and leveraging cutting-edge methodologies to enhance employee capabilities across all levels.

The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and performance management. You will champion a data-driven approach, utilizing analytics to measure the effectiveness of L&D interventions and continuously refine our offerings. This role requires an individual who can not only strategize at a high level but also inspire and lead a team to execute impactful programs. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, department heads, and HR business partners to ensure our learning solutions are integrated, relevant, and drive tangible business outcomes.

From onboarding to leadership development, you will shape the entire employee learning journey. This includes exploring and implementing new technologies, managing vendor relationships for specialized training, and overseeing the budget for all L&D activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's overall business objectives and talent needs.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative learning programs, including onboarding, technical skills training, leadership development, and soft skills workshops.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and performance improvement opportunities across various departments.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and demonstrating return on investment for all programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs using key metrics and feedback mechanisms, making data-driven adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Research and integrate best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and emerging learning technologies into our L&D framework.
  • Oversee the selection and management of external training vendors and consultants, ensuring quality and alignment with our standards.
  • Mentor and develop a team of L&D professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to embed a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the organization.
  • Provide executive coaching and facilitate strategic workshops for senior leadership as required.
