Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Learning & Development to lead our strategic efforts in talent cultivation and organizational growth. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with organizational goals and talent needs.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate innovative learning programs, workshops, and e-learning modules covering leadership, technical skills, and soft skills.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and areas for development across all departments.
- Manage the full lifecycle of training programs, including content creation, vendor selection, budget management, and post-training evaluation.
- Implement and manage learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies to enhance program delivery and tracking.
- Coach and mentor senior leaders and managers on best practices in talent development and performance management.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.
- Monitor L&D trends and best practices to ensure Career.zycto remains at the forefront of talent development.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for L&D initiatives and report on their effectiveness and ROI to senior leadership.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale L&D strategies and programs.
- Expertise in adult learning theories, instructional design methodologies, and performance improvement strategies.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in LMS administration and e-learning authoring tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendors, and cross-functional projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in coaching, psychometric assessment, or a relevant HR discipline (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
- Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with the Zimbabwean talent landscape and market specific L&D challenges.
