Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an accomplished and strategic Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement initiatives in Chimanimani, Manicaland Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's strategic objectives and business needs.
  • Design, deliver, and manage a wide range of learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, compliance, and new employee onboarding.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and determine appropriate learning interventions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all L&D initiatives using relevant metrics and data, ensuring continuous improvement and ROI.
  • Manage the L&D budget, resources, and external vendor relationships.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing L&D team.
  • Collaborate with senior management and department heads to ensure L&D programs meet specific business requirements.
  • Research and integrate innovative learning technologies and methodologies into training programs (e.g., e-learning, blended learning, microlearning).
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organization.
  • Ensure all training programs adhere to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and evaluating successful L&D strategies and programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and various training methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Strategic thinking with a strong business acumen and the ability to link L&D to organizational outcomes.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications in L&D, such as CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a multinational or diverse organizational environment.
  • Familiarity with talent management software and HR analytics.
  • Experience with change management methodologies and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
