Career.zycto is seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our strategic initiatives in fostering employee growth and organizational capability. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto’s business goals and cultural values.
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of all L&D programs, including leadership development, technical training, onboarding, and continuous professional development.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify critical skill gaps and future training requirements across various departments.
- Manage the L&D budget, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality program delivery.
- Implement innovative learning methodologies and technologies (e.g., e-learning platforms, blended learning, microlearning) to enhance engagement and effectiveness.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the impact and ROI of L&D initiatives, reporting regularly to senior leadership.
- Foster a strong learning culture within the organization, promoting continuous self-development and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and develop a team of L&D professionals, if applicable, or act as a primary subject matter expert.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging L&D trends, and relevant regulatory requirements, particularly within Zimbabwe.
- Collaborate with HR and departmental leaders to integrate L&D programs into broader talent management and succession planning strategies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a senior Learning & Development role, preferably as a Director or Head of L&D.
- Deep expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and various training methodologies.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills with a track record of implementing successful L&D programs.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in leveraging learning technologies and e-learning platforms.
- Data analysis and reporting skills to measure program effectiveness and ROI.
- Budget management and vendor negotiation experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or professional certification in HR, OD, or L&D.
