Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Director of Learning & Development to join our leadership team in Hwange, Matabeleland North Province. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping our organizational culture, enhancing employee capabilities, and driving strategic talent initiatives aligned with our business objectives. As the Director of L&D, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive learning strategies and programs that foster continuous growth, build leadership capacity, and cultivate a high-performance workforce. You will lead a dynamic team, leverage innovative learning technologies, and partner closely with senior leadership to identify skill gaps, anticipate future talent needs, and ensure our employees are equipped to excel in a rapidly evolving landscape. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that supports Career.zycto's overall business goals and talent objectives.
- Design, implement, and manage a portfolio of innovative learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, onboarding, and continuous professional development.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the L&D team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Partner with senior leadership and HR business partners to identify critical skill gaps, forecast future talent needs, and align L&D initiatives with strategic priorities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all learning programs using relevant metrics and analytics, continuously improving offerings based on feedback and performance data.
- Research and integrate best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and learning technologies to enhance engagement and impact.
- Manage the L&D budget, resources, and vendor relationships efficiently to deliver high-quality programs.
- Champion a culture of learning and continuous improvement across the organization.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic learning and development programs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing talent.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and various learning methodologies.
