Key Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and execute the long-term R&D strategy in alignment with company goals and market demands.
- Lead and manage the R&D department, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation of scientific and technical staff.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept generation and feasibility studies to prototyping, testing, and pilot production.
- Manage R&D budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient project execution and delivery.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, materials, and processes to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Establish and maintain a robust intellectual property portfolio, including patent applications and trade secret protection.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of R&D initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to proactively adjust R&D priorities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, scientific rigor, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the R&D team.
- Represent the company in scientific forums, conferences, and collaborations with external partners and academic institutions.
- Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
