Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive R&D strategy aligned with company objectives and market needs.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of scientists, engineers, and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Oversee the entire R&D project lifecycle, from ideation and conceptualization to prototyping, testing, and successful handover for commercialization.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and research trends to inform future product development and strategic initiatives.
- Manage the R&D budget, resources, and timelines effectively to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Establish and maintain strong intellectual property strategies to protect company innovations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, operations, and sales to ensure R&D efforts meet business requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Communicate R&D progress, challenges, and successes to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Biotechnology).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
