Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the long-term R&D strategy, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of scientists, engineers, and technical personnel, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to commercialization, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, materials, and processes to enhance existing products and create novel solutions.
- Manage the R&D budget, resources, and intellectual property portfolio.
- Establish and maintain collaborations with external partners, academic institutions, and industry experts.
- Ensure all R&D activities comply with regulatory standards, quality requirements, and ethical guidelines.
- Present R&D progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform R&D priorities and identify new areas for innovation.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biotechnology, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or directorial role.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing new products or technologies to market.
