Career.zycto is seeking an exceptionally talented and strategic Director of Research and Development to spearhead our innovation initiatives in Gwanda, Matabeleland South. The Director of R&D will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the research and development lifecycle, from initial ideation and feasibility studies to prototyping, testing, and final product release. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive R&D strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing R&D team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept generation to commercialization, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Manage the R&D budget, allocate resources effectively, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies and scientific advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
- Drive intellectual property generation, including patents, publications, and trade secrets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and market adoption of new products.
- Establish and maintain robust quality control processes and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Required Skills
- 12+ years of progressive experience in R&D roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership/managerial capacity.

- Strong financial acumen with experience managing complex R&D budgets.
