Career.zycto is seeking an visionary and experienced Director of Research & Development to lead our innovation initiatives in Murehwa, Mashonaland East Province. Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the R&D strategy, aligning it with Career.zycto's overall business goals and product vision.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers, data scientists, and researchers.
- Oversee the full R&D product lifecycle from ideation, proof-of-concept, development, to deployment and continuous improvement.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, market trends, and competitive landscapes to maintain a leading edge in HR Tech.
- Manage the R&D budget, resources, and timelines effectively to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the R&D department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure successful product integration and market fit.
- Establish and maintain strong intellectual property strategies to protect company innovations.
- Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Present R&D progress, challenges, and opportunities to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (10+ years) in R&D leadership roles, preferably within the software or HR Tech industry.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Expertise in emerging technologies such as AI/ML, big data analytics, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire diverse technical teams.
