Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive R&D strategy aligned with the company’s vision and market needs.
- Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of scientists, engineers, and researchers.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of R&D projects, from initial concept through to successful prototyping and handover to product development.
- Manage the R&D budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation and project prioritization.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, research trends, and potential external partnerships.
- Establish and maintain robust intellectual property strategies and manage patent portfolios.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, sales, and operations to ensure seamless product development and market launch.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Communicate R&D progress, challenges, and strategic insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Material Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 12 years (144 months) of progressive experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial role.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful R&D strategies and roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of product development processes and market commercialization.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, resources, and complex project portfolios.
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
- Deep technical expertise relevant to our industry (e.g., AI/ML, sustainable technologies, advanced materials, software innovation).
- Proficiency in intellectual property management and patent strategies.
