Key Responsibilities
- Develop, articulate, and implement a comprehensive R&D strategy aligned with Career.zycto’s overarching business goals and market opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing and diverse team of researchers, scientists, and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Oversee the entire R&D lifecycle, from initial ideation and rigorous proof-of-concept testing to robust product development and successful commercialization.
- Manage R&D budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines with meticulous attention to detail to ensure efficient and effective execution of all initiatives.
- Proactively identify and evaluate new and emerging technologies, research trends, and potential strategic partnerships that could enhance our innovation pipeline.
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, academic institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all R&D activities strictly comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, ethical guidelines, and intellectual property protocols.
- Drive continuous improvement in R&D processes, methodologies, and technical capabilities to maximize efficiency and impact.
- Prepare and present compelling R&D progress reports, strategic insights, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Champion a culture of innovation, scientific rigor, intellectual curiosity, data-driven decision-making, and open communication within the R&D department.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related scientific or technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Research & Development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role leading technical teams.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex R&D projects from initial concept through to successful market launch and commercial viability.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property management, patenting processes, and technology transfer mechanisms.
- Proven ability to build, lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Exceptional strategic planning, program management, and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering measurable results.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic resource allocation specifically for R&D initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapt to evolving priorities, and navigate complex challenges.
