Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally talented and visionary Director of Research & Development to lead our innovation efforts in Matabeleland South Province, Zimbabwe. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and roadmap for the company's R&D initiatives, aligning with corporate goals.

- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and concept generation to prototyping, testing, and market readiness.
- Manage the R&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate new technologies, scientific advancements, and industry best practices into our research agenda.
- Establish and maintain robust intellectual property strategies, including patenting and trade secret protection.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, marketing, sales, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless product integration and launch.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulatory standards, quality protocols, and safety guidelines in all R&D activities.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities for innovation and product differentiation.
Required Skills
- PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in Research & Development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading innovation projects from concept to commercialization.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, with experience in managing diverse technical teams.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and financial resources effectively.
- Profound understanding of intellectual property management and regulatory affairs relevant to the industry.
