Career.zycto is seeking a highly visionary and experienced Director of Research & Development to spearhead our innovation efforts from our Plumtree facility. This pivotal leadership role will be instrumental in defining and executing our long-term R&D strategy, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technological advancement and market relevance. As Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire R&D lifecycle, from conceptualization and feasibility studies to prototyping, testing, and successful product launch. Key Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and execute the company's comprehensive R&D strategy aligned with business goals and market trends.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of scientists, engineers, and researchers.
- Oversee the entire R&D project lifecycle, from ideation to successful commercialization.
- Manage the R&D budget, resources, and facilities efficiently, ensuring optimal allocation and performance.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, methodologies, and strategic partnerships to enhance innovation capabilities.
- Ensure intellectual property development and protection, managing patent applications and competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, operations, and sales to integrate R&D outputs.
- Establish and maintain robust quality control and regulatory compliance standards for all R&D activities.
- Present R&D progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and scientific rigor within the R&D department.
