Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales Enablement to join our executive team in Mazowe. This strategic role is pivotal in driving our sales force to new heights, ensuring our sales professionals are equipped with the knowledge, skills, tools, and content needed to excel in a competitive market.
As the Director of Sales Enablement, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing a comprehensive sales enablement strategy that aligns with our commercial objectives. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between sales, marketing, and operations, creating seamless processes that enhance productivity and effectiveness across our extensive sales network, including our Mazowe Citrus Estates distribution channels. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a deep understanding of sales methodologies and modern enablement practices. You will lead initiatives related to sales training, content management, sales technology optimization, performance analytics, and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of continuous learning and achievement within our sales organization. You will champion a data-driven approach to sales enablement, identifying key performance indicators, analyzing sales funnel metrics, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. Your leadership will ensure our sales teams are consistently delivering value to our customers, building strong relationships, and achieving their targets. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales enablement strategy aligned with overall business goals and sales objectives.
- Design, deliver, and manage robust training programs for new hires and existing sales professionals covering product knowledge, sales methodologies, competitive intelligence, and effective use of sales tools.
- Curate, manage, and optimize a library of sales content, tools, and resources (e.g., presentations, case studies, battlecards, playbooks) to ensure easy access and relevancy for the sales team.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize sales technology solutions (CRM, sales engagement platforms, analytics tools) to enhance sales productivity and efficiency.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales enablement, analyze sales performance data, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to sales leadership.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure consistent messaging, product understanding, and alignment across the customer journey.
- Conduct regular needs assessments with sales teams and leadership to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in sales effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in sales and sales enablement, continuously evolving our programs.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and high performance within the sales organization.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales enablement, sales operations, or a senior sales/marketing role.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sales enablement programs that drive measurable results.
- Deep understanding of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, SPIN Selling) and the sales lifecycle.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and sales enablement platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strategic thinker with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related advanced degree.
- Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or beverage industry.
- Certifications in recognized sales methodologies or sales enablement practices.
