Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished, visionary, and strategic Director of Talent Acquisition to spearhead our recruitment strategies and elevate our employer brand. Based in Gweru, Midlands Province, this pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping Dairibord’s future workforce by attracting, engaging, and retaining top-tier talent across all levels of our dynamic organization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, data-driven talent acquisition strategy aligned with Dairibord’s business goals and growth plans, focusing on both short-term needs and long-term organizational development.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, professional growth, and exceptional service delivery.
- Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning and strategic sourcing to offer management, negotiation, and seamless onboarding, ensuring an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to enhance Dairibord’s reputation as an attractive employer, utilizing various channels including social media, professional networks, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
- Implement, optimize, and leverage recruitment technologies, including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR tech tools, to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Establish and monitor key recruitment metrics and KPIs to measure effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, analyze talent trends, and report on progress and insights to senior leadership.
- Develop and manage the talent acquisition budget, ensuring cost-effective and impactful recruitment solutions while maximizing ROI on all talent initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Zimbabwean labor laws and regulations, promoting fair, equitable, and transparent hiring practices across the organization.
- Build strong and influential relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, HR Business Partners, and department heads, to understand their evolving talent needs and provide strategic guidance.
- Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the talent acquisition function, promoting inclusive hiring practices and contributing to a diverse and representative workforce.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging recruitment technologies, and market trends to ensure Dairibord maintains a competitive edge in talent attraction.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (10+ years) in developing and executing large-scale, strategic talent acquisition initiatives within a complex organizational structure.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating, developing, and inspiring recruitment professionals.
- In-depth knowledge of the Zimbabwean labor market, recruitment best practices, and employment legislation.
- Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR information systems; experience with system implementation is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, forecast needs, and make data-driven decisions that impact business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and target-driven environment.
- Strategic thinking, innovation, and advanced problem-solving abilities, with a relentless focus on long-term organizational impact and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in HR or Talent Acquisition (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, ZIM HR certifications).
- Experience within the manufacturing, food & beverage, or FMCG sectors, demonstrating an understanding of industry-specific talent challenges.
- Familiarity with advanced employer branding strategies and digital marketing for recruitment.
- Experience with various sourcing techniques, including passive candidate outreach, talent pooling, and executive search methodologies.
