Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered support with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Support individuals in meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining a healthy diet.
- Administer medication as prescribed and meticulously record observations (with appropriate training and certification).
- Assist with household tasks, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
- Facilitate social engagement and community participation, accompanying individuals to appointments, outings, and recreational activities.
- Offer emotional support, companionship, and active listening to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of care provided and any significant changes or incidents.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other care professionals.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proven empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German (B2 level or higher).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive, adaptable attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic first aid knowledge and willingness to undertake further training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certification or vocational training in disability support, aged care, or nursing assistance (e.g., Heilerziehungspfleger, Pflegefachhelfer).
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a disability care or similar support role.
- Valid driver's license (Class B) and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for documentation.
