Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, and grooming.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Support individuals in meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining a healthy diet.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and meticulously record observations (with appropriate training and certification).
  • Assist with household tasks, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
  • Facilitate social engagement and community participation, accompanying individuals to appointments, outings, and recreational activities.
  • Offer emotional support, companionship, and active listening to promote mental well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of care provided and any significant changes or incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other care professionals.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Proven empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German (B2 level or higher).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust.
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Basic first aid knowledge and willingness to undertake further training.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certification or vocational training in disability support, aged care, or nursing assistance (e.g., Heilerziehungspfleger, Pflegefachhelfer).
  • Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a disability care or similar support role.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B) and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for documentation.
