Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashers and wash kitchenware by hand, ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and floors, throughout the shift.
- Assist with basic food prep tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients, as directed by kitchen management.
- Properly dispose of waste and recycling, and maintain cleanliness of waste areas.
- Monitor and maintain dishwashing machine temperatures and chemical levels for optimal performance.
- Unload and properly store incoming deliveries of kitchen supplies and food items.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Support kitchen staff with general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
