Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly organized and dedicated Dispatch Coordinator to join our team for a crucial night shift. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the nightly dispatch of drivers and vehicles for deliveries and pickups across Wajir County and beyond.
- Monitor real-time progress of dispatches, addressing any delays, breakdowns, or route deviations promptly and effectively.
- Communicate consistently with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations.
- Optimize routes and schedules to enhance efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, vehicle statuses, driver logs, and delivery confirmations.
- Handle unexpected logistical challenges, such as vehicle maintenance issues, last-minute changes, or emergency dispatches.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and transportation laws during the night shift.
- Prepare comprehensive shift reports summarizing operational performance and highlighting any critical incidents or observations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in dispatch, logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and standard office applications (MS Office Suite).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
