Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and dispatch delivery routes for drivers, considering traffic, distance, and delivery timeframes.
- Monitor fleet movement using tracking systems, providing real-time updates and support to drivers.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding schedules, changes, and potential issues.
- Liaise with customers and internal departments to address delivery inquiries and resolve service issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and driver activities.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Respond to emergencies or unexpected events (e.g., breakdowns, delays) and implement contingency plans.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in dispatching, logistics, or transport coordination.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Liverpool and surrounding areas.
- Proficiency in dispatching software and GPS tracking systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
