Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain distillation equipment, including stills, fermenters, and filtration systems.
- Manage the entire distillation process from raw material intake to the final spirit collection.
- Monitor fermentation progress, including pH levels, specific gravity, and temperature.
- Perform quality control checks at various stages of production, ensuring product consistency and adherence to specifications.
- Assist in the development of new spirit recipes and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of distillery equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs, and batch sheets.
- Collaborate with the bottling and aging teams to ensure seamless production flow.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Distiller or in a similar spirits production role.
- In-depth knowledge of fermentation science, distillation techniques, and spirit maturation.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and analytical testing methods.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining distillery equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or degree in Brewing, Distilling, Food Science, or a related field.
