Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and accurately verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Safely and efficiently move merchandise within the distribution centre, utilizing appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
  • Pick and pack orders according to specific instructions, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, staging, and loading onto delivery vehicles.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment in a safe and responsible manner after receiving proper training.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
  • Report any damaged goods, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards promptly.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven reliability and punctuality.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre, or logistics role.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts – certification an asset).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
