Key Responsibilities
- Assist doctors during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
- Accurately record patient medical history, vital signs, and symptoms into electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions, medication information, and general health education as directed by the doctor.
- Manage patient appointments, maintain clinic flow, and handle general administrative duties such as filing and correspondence.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and prepare them for analysis.
- Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing, or a related medical field from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Doctor Assistant or Clinical Assistant, preferably in a private clinic setting.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong patient-centric approach.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and general office software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience with specific EMR systems used by Avenue Healthcare.
- Fluency in additional local languages.
