Key Responsibilities

  • Assist doctors during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
  • Accurately record patient medical history, vital signs, and symptoms into electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Provide patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions, medication information, and general health education as directed by the doctor.
  • Manage patient appointments, maintain clinic flow, and handle general administrative duties such as filing and correspondence.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and prepare them for analysis.
  • Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing, or a related medical field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience as a Doctor Assistant or Clinical Assistant, preferably in a private clinic setting.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong patient-centric approach.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and general office software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience with specific EMR systems used by Avenue Healthcare.
  • Fluency in additional local languages.
