Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Doctor to join our esteemed network of healthcare providers in Lenton, Nottingham. This multifaceted role encompasses both General Practitioner duties and opportunities to leverage specialist expertise, offering a unique blend of patient care across various medical disciplines. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive general medical consultations, examinations, and diagnoses for diverse patient populations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans for both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and manage ongoing prescriptions in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Provide expert referrals to secondary care services and specialists as deemed necessary for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential patient medical records using electronic health record systems.
  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and coordinating further treatment.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Actively participate in clinical audits, team meetings, and continuous professional development (CPD) activities.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, preventative care, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.

Required Skills

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Full and valid registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Evidence of satisfactory completion of vocational training for General Practice (CCT) or equivalent specialist registration.
  • Significant post-qualification experience as a GP or Specialist Doctor.
  • Exceptional diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic patient record systems.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) or equivalent specialist fellowship.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or significant experience in a specific medical specialty relevant to primary care (e.g., Dermatology, Minor Surgery, Women's Health, Paediatrics).
  • Experience in medical education or supervising junior medical staff.
  • Familiarity with local Nottingham healthcare systems and referral pathways.
  • Leadership experience within a clinical setting.
