Job Description

Your day will be dynamic and rewarding, involving direct interaction with a variety of dog breeds and personalities. You’ll work closely with our experienced groomers, assisting with every step of the grooming process. This includes preparing dogs for their grooming sessions—brushing out mats, detangling fur, and ensuring they are calm and comfortable. A significant part of your role will involve bathing and drying dogs, utilizing appropriate techniques and products for different coat types, always prioritizing the animal’s safety and comfort. You’ll be responsible for maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards throughout the grooming salon, from sanitizing tools and equipment to tidying workstations and ensuring bathing areas are spotless and ready for the next client.
Beyond the hands-on grooming support, you will also contribute to the overall smooth operation of our facility. This means assisting with client check-ins and check-outs, handling basic administrative tasks, and ensuring clear communication with both pet parents and team members regarding appointment schedules and pet needs. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, punctual, and possesses excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities
- Assist professional groomers with all stages of the grooming process, including bathing, drying, brushing, and de-shedding.
- Prepare dogs for grooming by pre-brushing, detangling, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Handle dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments with care, patience, and positive reinforcement.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the grooming area, including sanitizing tools, equipment, tubs, and workstations.
- Monitor dogs for any signs of stress, injury, or health concerns and report them immediately to the groomer or supervisor.
- Assist with client interactions, including checking pets in/out and conveying basic information to pet parents.
- Perform general cleaning duties in the pet boarding facility as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and animal handling guidelines strictly.
Required Skills
