Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive daily cleaning of all living areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common spaces.
- Manage laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothes and household linens.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene, ensuring all appliances, countertops, and utensils are clean and sanitized.
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals as required, or assist with meal preparation.
- Oversee grocery shopping and maintain inventory of household supplies, reporting needs to the employer.
- Organize and declutter cupboards, wardrobes, and and other storage areas.
- Care for houseplants and perform light gardening duties if necessary.
- Assist with childcare tasks as needed, such as supervising children or helping with school preparations.
- Run errands, including shopping, post office visits, or other household-related tasks.
- Ensure the security of the premises by locking doors and windows when leaving or at night.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to the employer.
- Adhere to household rules, maintaining a respectful and discreet presence.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in domestic work, preferably in a stay-in capacity.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Trustworthiness, honesty, and discretion.
- Good communication skills (verbal, English and/or Swahili).
- Physical stamina to perform demanding household tasks.
