Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and passionate Donations Officer to join our dynamic team in Berlin. This pivotal full-time role is essential for driving our fundraising efforts, securing vital resources, and expanding our network of generous supporters. As a Donations Officer, you will be at the forefront of our mission, responsible for cultivating and nurturing relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and grant-making foundations. You will play a crucial part in telling our story, articulating our impact, and inspiring contributions that directly translate into tangible positive change within our communities.

Your day-to-day will involve a blend of strategic planning, proactive outreach, and meticulous donor stewardship. You will identify new fundraising opportunities, develop compelling proposals and presentations, and manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors. This role requires a blend of excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to relationship building, and a deep commitment to our cause. You will work closely with our program teams to understand our ongoing projects and needs, ensuring that donor communications are accurate, impactful, and demonstrate the direct results of their support. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual financial goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
  • Prepare tailored fundraising proposals, grant applications, and compelling presentations.
  • Manage and maintain accurate donor records using CRM software, ensuring timely communication and recognition.
  • Plan and support fundraising events and campaigns, from conception to execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, programs) to align fundraising efforts with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and report on fundraising performance, analyzing data to inform future strategies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ethical fundraising practices and donor privacy regulations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a related sales/development role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in both German (C1+) and English (C1+).
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and cultivate long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing donations or achieving revenue targets.
  • Understanding of the non-profit sector and ethical fundraising principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Non-profit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with digital fundraising platforms and online giving campaigns.
