Key Responsibilities

  • Assist drilling crew with the setup, operation, and breakdown of drilling equipment and machinery on various job sites.
  • Perform general labour duties, including moving materials, digging trenches, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Load and unload drill pipe, casing, drilling fluids, and other materials required for drilling operations.
  • Monitor drilling fluid levels and assist with the mixing and circulation of drilling muds.
  • Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance of tools and equipment under supervision.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Assist with the collection and labeling of soil, rock, and water samples as directed.
  • Support the driller in troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing field repairs.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation of work performed.
  • Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a strong safety culture within the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in construction, laboring, or outdoor work.
  • Knowledge of basic tools and equipment.
  • First Aid certification.
  • CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
  • Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery (certification preferred).
