Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport company personnel, documents, and goods to designated locations.
- Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, company driving policies, and security procedures.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Report any vehicle defects, damage, or mechanical issues promptly to the transport supervisor.
- Maintain accurate logbooks of journeys, mileage, fuel consumption, and service records.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Plan optimal routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, anticipating traffic and road conditions.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentable appearance of the company vehicle at all times.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and discretion when interacting with passengers and clients.
- Adhere to strict timelines and schedules, ensuring prompt arrivals and departures.
- Handle company property with care and ensure its security during transit.
Required Skills
- Valid Kenyan Driving License Class BCE (or equivalent for commercial vehicles).
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable professional driving experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Nairobi road networks and traffic regulations.
- Demonstrable defensive driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to read and understand maps and GPS devices.
- High level of integrity and discretion.
