Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver for Logistics & Delivery to join our dynamic team in Coopers Hill, St. Andrew. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations throughout the St. Andrew parish and surrounding areas, utilizing a company-provided vehicle. Your day will involve planning optimal delivery routes, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your assigned company vehicle, loading and unloading merchandise with care, and meticulously tracking deliveries. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries and pickups, adapting to changing traffic conditions or schedules.
- Load and unload merchandise carefully, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage.
- Verify accuracy of shipment contents against delivery manifests, obtaining necessary signatures and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned company vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
- Manage and reconcile delivery paperwork, including invoices, receipts, and proof of delivery.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Jamaica)
- Clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of local geography and road networks in St. Andrew and surrounding parishes
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move packages of varying weights (up to 50 lbs)
- Customer service-oriented approach
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation
