Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and dependable Driver for Logistics & Delivery, operating a company vehicle, to join a vibrant team in Mandeville, Manchester. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods and products to various locations across the region, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the integrity of items. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maintain a company-provided vehicle for the transportation of goods and products.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or any unforeseen challenges.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
  • Handle delivery documentation, including invoices, manifests, and proof of delivery signatures.
  • Ensure cleanliness and basic upkeep of the company vehicle.

Required Skills

  • Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (Class A or C preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (trucks/vans preferred)
  • Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
  • Excellent knowledge of Mandeville and surrounding Manchester parish road networks
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Punctuality and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Defensive driving certification
  • Experience with route optimization software or GPS systems
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing delivery role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
