Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver – Logistics & Delivery to join our dynamic team operating out of Reading, Montego Bay. This pivotal full-time role involves utilizing a company-provided vehicle to execute a diverse range of logistical tasks, including the safe and timely transportation and delivery of goods across assigned routes. As a key representative of our service, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of professionalism, efficiency, and customer satisfaction during every interaction.
Your day will involve meticulous route planning, diligent adherence to traffic regulations, and ensuring the secure loading and unloading of items. Beyond just driving, you’ll be the face of our logistics operations, providing exceptional service to clients and handling delivery documentation accurately. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver various goods to designated locations within Montego Bay and surrounding areas.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adhering to delivery schedules and traffic laws.
- Load, unload, and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit, ensuring the integrity of all deliveries.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery contents against shipping documents and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally at all times.
- Accurately complete delivery logs, manifest, and other required paperwork.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other logistical support tasks as needed, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (preferably with F endorsement)
- Clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Montego Bay and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Punctuality and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
