This role is for a dedicated and meticulous Driver – Logistics & Delivery, operating a company vehicle. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for the delivery and pickup of goods across Negril and surrounding areas.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adjusting as needed for traffic or other conditions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and manifest documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local regulations.
- Handle payment collection and paperwork accurately when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, both inside and out.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Jamaica)
- Clean driving record for at least 3 years
- Proficient in navigating Negril and Westmoreland area roads
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs (approx. 23 kg)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service oriented
- High degree of reliability and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with various types of delivery vehicles (vans, small trucks)
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile delivery applications
- Defensive driving certification
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
