In this role, you will navigate various routes within Falmouth and the wider Trelawny Parish, adhering strictly to delivery schedules and traffic laws. Your day will involve more than just driving; it encompasses careful loading and unloading of items, verifying delivery contents, maintaining accurate logs, and representing Career.zycto with a friendly and helpful demeanor to every client. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their vehicle, performing daily inspections and reporting any maintenance needs promptly to ensure our fleet remains safe and operational. Effective communication skills are essential, as you’ll be interacting with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers throughout your shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Adhere strictly to assigned delivery schedules and routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage.
- Verify contents of shipments against shipping documents and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and reports, including mileage and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
- Handle all paperwork accurately and responsibly, including invoices and manifests.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentable condition of the company vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid Class C (or equivalent) Jamaican Driver's License.
- Clean driving record for at least the past three years.
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery services.
- Strong knowledge of Falmouth and surrounding Trelawny Parish routes.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Defensive driving certification.
- Experience with route optimization software or GPS systems.
