Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, documents, or personnel.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, navigating Mandeville and surrounding areas.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of items, verifying accuracy against delivery notes.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Handle delivery paperwork and collect signatures as required.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, performing basic cleaning tasks regularly.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver’s License (Class B or C)
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3-5 years
- Proven experience in a delivery or logistics driving role
- Excellent knowledge of Mandeville and surrounding areas, including optimal routes and traffic patterns
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages as needed
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and delivery tracking applications
