Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle for the delivery and collection of goods across designated routes in St. Andrew and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Verify load accuracy against delivery manifests, ensuring all items are securely loaded and accounted for.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally and courteously with clients.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Optimize delivery routes using navigation tools to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Handle payment collections or documentation as per company procedures, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's Licence (preferably Class B or C) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving or logistics delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of St. Andrew and surrounding parish roadways.
- Strong understanding and adherence to road safety regulations.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Good physical stamina to assist with loading/unloading.
