Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver specializing in Logistics & Delivery to join our dynamic team in Harbour View, Kingston. This crucial full-time role involves the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of various items, including documents, packages, and potentially personnel, within Kingston and its environs. You will be operating a well-maintained company vehicle, acting as a vital link in our operational supply chain and a direct representative of our commitment to excellence.
As a Driver, you will be entrusted with meticulous route planning, leveraging your knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns to optimize delivery schedules and ensure punctuality. A strong emphasis is placed on adherence to all Jamaican traffic laws and strict safety regulations, prioritizing the well-being of yourself, your cargo, and the public. Beyond driving, your responsibilities extend to conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs promptly, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, documents, and personnel.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the assigned company vehicle.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and adapt to unforeseen road conditions or changes.

Required Skills
- Valid Class C (or equivalent) Jamaican Driver's License.
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Thorough knowledge of Kingston and surrounding areas roads and traffic laws.
- Proven ability to operate various company vehicles safely.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages when necessary.
