Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations within Hatfield, Mandeville, and surrounding areas.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, documenting any issues or maintenance needs.
- Load, unload, and secure items properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify accuracy of delivery orders, obtain necessary signatures, and complete all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic operational checks of the assigned company vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Handle unexpected situations or route changes with professionalism and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions at pick-up and delivery points.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (Class B or C preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience (logistics or delivery preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Mandeville and surrounding areas (route planning, navigation)
- Strong understanding and adherence to road safety regulations
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying packages (up to 50 lbs)
- Punctuality and strong time management skills
