Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided vehicle for the delivery and collection of goods.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient completion of all tasks.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring goods are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing Career.zycto with integrity.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy, performing minor maintenance tasks as required.
- Communicate any delays, incidents, or challenges on the road to dispatch or supervisors in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (e.g., Class B, C, or D) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a professional driver in logistics or delivery for at least 2 years.
- Excellent knowledge of Walderston, Manchester, and surrounding parishes' road networks.
- Strong understanding and adherence to road safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
