Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Verify load accuracy against delivery manifests before departure and upon arrival.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to designated routes and schedules.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Handle goods with care, ensuring they are loaded, secured, and unloaded without damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent)
- Minimum of 1.5 years (18 months) proven professional driving experience, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of May Pen and surrounding Clarendon parish road networks.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Good physical condition to handle loading and unloading of goods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with route optimization software or GPS navigation systems.
- Customer service experience with a friendly and professional demeanor.
