This critical role involves safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials using a company-provided vehicle, ensuring timely deliveries to our valued clients and partners across the region. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods and materials.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Verify load contents against shipping papers for accuracy before departure and upon delivery.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, damages, or incidents immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Jamaican)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting
- Clean driving record with no major infractions
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to operate a company vehicle responsibly and safely
- Physical ability to lift and move packages as needed
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (e.g., checking fluid levels, tires)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with delivery route optimization software
- Familiarity with the Ewarton, St. Catherine, and surrounding parish road networks
