Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles with care.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and manifest, ensuring all paperwork is correctly completed.
- Perform diligent pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the company vehicle, adhering to safety standards.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing Career.zycto positively and professionally.
- Adhere strictly to all local traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting, organizing, and preparing goods for dispatch, as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Jamaica)
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3 years.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role.
- Excellent knowledge of local roads and geographical areas within Mandeville and surrounding parishes.
- Ability to operate vehicles safely and effectively in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional time management abilities.
- Good physical condition; ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
