Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver to join our dynamic logistics and delivery team in Pembroke Hall, St. Andrew. This pivotal role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation and delivery of goods to various locations across St. Andrew and surrounding areas. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence, acting as a crucial link between our company and our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided vehicle for the transportation and delivery of goods.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Load and unload delivery items, ensuring accurate count and proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or defects promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally and courteously.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, both on the road and during loading/unloading operations.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as sorting, packing, and organizing goods when not on delivery routes.

Required Skills

  • Valid General Driver's License (Class B or higher) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, preferably with a company vehicle.
  • Excellent knowledge of local routes and geographical areas within St. Andrew and surrounding parishes.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in defensive driving or advanced driver training.
  • Experience using GPS navigation and delivery tracking applications.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
