Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided vehicle for the transportation and delivery of goods.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload delivery items, ensuring accurate count and proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or defects promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally and courteously.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, both on the road and during loading/unloading operations.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as sorting, packing, and organizing goods when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Class B or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role, preferably with a company vehicle.
- Excellent knowledge of local routes and geographical areas within St. Andrew and surrounding parishes.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
