Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a company-provided delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Efficiently plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate transportation of goods to various destinations within Kingston and nearby parishes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or damage promptly.
- Accurately load, unload, and secure packages and cargo, ensuring safe handling and preventing damage during transit.
- Verify contents of cargo against manifest or delivery notes, obtaining necessary signatures upon delivery or collection.
- Maintain detailed delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members to provide updates, address concerns, and resolve delivery-related issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times, providing excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other operational tasks as needed during periods of low delivery volume.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (preferably Class C or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a delivery or logistics capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of Kingston's road networks, traffic patterns, and common routes.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout the workday.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
