Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver for Logistics & Delivery to join our growing team in Mountain View, Kingston. This crucial role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to transport a variety of goods and packages across Kingston and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maintain a company-provided delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Efficiently plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate transportation of goods to various destinations within Kingston and nearby parishes.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or damage promptly.
  • Accurately load, unload, and secure packages and cargo, ensuring safe handling and preventing damage during transit.
  • Verify contents of cargo against manifest or delivery notes, obtaining necessary signatures upon delivery or collection.
  • Maintain detailed delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members to provide updates, address concerns, and resolve delivery-related issues.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times, providing excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
  • Assist with warehouse duties or other operational tasks as needed during periods of low delivery volume.

Required Skills

  • Valid General Driver's License (preferably Class C or higher) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a delivery or logistics capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of Kingston's road networks, traffic patterns, and common routes.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout the workday.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.
  • Proven reliability and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to punctuality.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using GPS navigation systems and route optimization software.
  • Prior experience in customer-facing roles requiring direct client interaction.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and basic warehousing procedures.
