Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Plan and execute delivery routes, optimizing for time and efficiency while adhering to scheduled appointments.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify accuracy of delivery manifests against physical cargo and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain detailed vehicle logs, delivery records, and expense reports accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other operational tasks as needed during non-driving periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the company vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (Class B or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Excellent knowledge of Trelawny parish roads and surrounding areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
