Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and professional Driver to join our dynamic logistics and delivery team in Liberty, St. Ann’s Bay. This pivotal role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods and packages using a company-provided vehicle. As a Driver, you will be an essential link in our supply chain, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining excellent customer service, and upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods and packages across specified routes within St. Ann’s Bay and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Load and unload delivery items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify accuracy of delivery manifests against physical cargo, obtaining appropriate signatures and documentation upon delivery and collection.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and provide excellent customer service during all interactions with clients and the public.
- Manage delivery schedules effectively to ensure timely arrivals and departures, communicating any potential delays proactively.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other tasks as needed during periods of low delivery volume.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Class B or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience (logistics or delivery preferred)
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Excellent knowledge of St. Ann’s Bay and surrounding parishes' road networks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs)
- Punctual, reliable, and strong work ethic
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Customer service oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with route optimization software or GPS devices
- First Aid and Defensive Driving certification
- Previous experience operating panel vans or light trucks
