Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for the delivery and collection of goods across specified routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and safely, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifest records, and vehicle mileage reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting and organizing inventory, as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (e.g., Class C or higher).
- Clean driving record with no major infractions.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation role.
- Excellent knowledge of Treasure Beach and surrounding St. Elizabeth areas.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
